Sentinel Lite

A lower cost version of the Sentinel technology called Sentinel Lite is available for PCs in the same basic form factor as the Validated version of the Sentinel™ but with a selectable subset of the Sentinel Security Functions. It is designed for use by organizations and individuals that want to secure their sensitive and confidential data on existing or new desktop PCs. All of the basic Sentinel™ validated Identification and Authentication and Access Control security functions are standard. The Audit security function is optional and security administration is simplified to the setup of user Smart Cards and to a simplified audit data and analysis process if the Audit security option is selected. MultiDomain capabilities are also optional with a single restricted domain being the standard configuration. If multidomain capability is desired, a capability for up to three domains can be implemented.

The cost of the Sentinel Lite will be less than the validated Sentinel configuration and will be limited to the processing of sensitive data. Selection of desired options such as audit and multidomain capability will define the overall cost of the Sentinel Lite system. The Sentinel Lite is not a validated product and cannot be used to secure classified data.
